THE CHAIR

The confidant of the dining table. The premise of the gathering space.

“A little piece of my mind is woven deep in the grain of this chair.”

PROCESS

Wood furniture-making involves interpreting a slab’s individual features and imperfections;
taking the unseen beauty at the interior of the tree and turning it into something inspiring; harnessing potential.

Figured Western Walnut

Handmade with locally salvaged hardwood– a second life for fallen trees.
Walnut’s variation in color and grain pattern elicit subtle characteristics that make every piece unique.

The Fahlman Chair is influenced by Japanese and Scandinavian minimalism and functionality.
Sculpted to comfortably support upright posture and polished with a natural oil and beeswax finish.

A sense of warmth and place.

Nurturing bonds and conversation.

“People gather around furniture pieces like tables and chairs. The quality of these items holds importance.”

Fahlman Furniture emphasizes the value of time spent with those around us.
Crafting functional family heirlooms that offer longevity, timelessness and lasting experiences.

Furniture should be unique and tactile.

Pieces that look better with age. Quality you can touch and feel.
